During the third week in July, we celebrate the legacy of Maggie L Walker and the anniversary of the St. Luke Legacy Center’s inception in the historic St. Luke Building located in the Jackson Ward neighborhood of Richmond, VA. In addition to promoting our initiatives to support the mental, emotional, social, physical and financial well being of the community, we also take this week to celebrate the birthday of Maggie L. Walker.
For the first time ever we invited men to balance their crowns with us and not only enjoy the buffet brunch and bottomless mimosas, but engage in a meaningful panel of Black authors who wear many crowns and are building their own legacy.
We provided FREE workshops on budgeting, banking, loans, credit and information on more than how to just make ends meet! Many joined the conversation and talked about being the first to build wealth and legacy.
We partnered with Virginia Asset Management to provide FREE foundational tools for start ups and CEO's in business
Our Legacy, Our Community, Our Families, Our Health, Our Wealth. We gathered at our Jackson Ward location for a FREE day of mental, emotional and social healing with access to affordable, holistic wellness services and resources offered for us, by us!
The brunch series known and curated by KYC since 2016 made a return! We celebrated and showcased local women and girls as creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs at Blue Bee Cider!
